WeatherDashboard ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data: Email address and name provided through Clerk authentication
• Usage data: Dashboard usage patterns, feature interactions (anonymized)
• Kalshi API key: Encrypted and stored securely; used only to fetch your market data
• Position data: Weather contract positions you manually enter or import
• Payment data: Processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect: Social Security numbers, government IDs, precise location data, browsing history outside our service, or any data from minors.

4. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the WeatherDashboard service
• To process subscription payments via Stripe
• To send service emails (daily briefings, price alerts) if you opt in
• To authenticate you via Clerk

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase (PostgreSQL) hosted on AWS. Kalshi API keys are encrypted using Fernet encryption before storage. We use HTTPS for all data transit. We implement reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and data by emailing support@weatherdashboard.net. Position data is retained for 12 months after account closure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and data, export your data, and opt out of marketing emails. Contact support@weatherdashboard.net to exercise these rights.

9. Cookies

We use session cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We do not use Google Analytics.

10. Children's Privacy

WeatherDashboard is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or prominent notice on the site.
